Sarhul festival

Sarhul which is celebrated during the spring season it's one of the most important festival for the tribles communities mainly Santhals and oraos are workshipped .sarhul is celebrated for the sowining seeds and the beginning of  of wedding season .The main attraction of the festival is tribal men,women and children wear a traditional dress and perform on a traditional dance on traditional music ,dance  around the tress.

  Durga puja

Ranchi is famous for his Durga puja after the Kolkata ranchi is the famous for decuratioin of his pandal .In the Ranchi this festival is celebrated more than 9 days people wear a new dresses for the visitng the pandals in Ranchi.

Places of worship

1-  Jagannath temple - This temple which  belong to the 17th century. It is situated on the top of a hill.   

       

2- Rajappa temple- This temple is also referred by the name chinnamastike which is at a distance of about 65km away from the Ranchi . This temple is presiding deity of this temple is Goddess of Kali.

3- Surya temple- This temple is known for its intricate carvings and beautiful idols .
